Marijuana is a flowering plant in the Cannabis genus of the Cannabaceae family. It is a dioecious, meaning that it can be male- or female-preferring, annual herb which is generally grown for the strong-scented resinous flowers which it produces. The most common use of marijuana is smoking it in hand-rolled cigarettes, pipes or water pipes called bongs. It can also be mixed in food and brewed as tea. Marijuana is commonly called “grass”, “pot”, “weed”, “Mary Jane”, and “herb”.
